Sport and entertainment with the 36th Paris Marathon - Hôtel Marais Bastille

On Sunday 15th April, Paris will host its famous Marathon, now in its 36th year.
This mythical race, run over a distance of 42.195 km, or just over 26 miles, will bring together some 40,000 competitors from around one hundred countries.
These sportsmen and women, amateurs and professionals, will take over the city for an event which never fails to entertain!
Paris Marathon : a mythical race in the heart of the capital
The race, which starts at 8.45 am from the top of the Champs-Elysées, will cross Paris, as well as the Bois de Boulogne and the Bois de Vincennes, to finish at the bottom of Avenue Foch.
With this unparalleled backdrop, racers and spectators will enjoy a festive and lively atmosphere all along the route, interspersed with a range of fun activities and entertainment.
Three days before the event, keen runners can visit the Running Expo show at Porte de Versailles which brings together almost 200 professionals from the sector.
