Helmut Newton's photos on exhibit at the Grand Palais in Paris - Hotel Marais Bastille
Categories : Exhibitions and Museums, published on : 4/18/17
A major retrospective on the work of the famous Australian photographer of German origin, Helmut Newton is being held at the Grand Palais in Paris through June 17th.
Dozens of prints, originals for the most part, are on public display during this fabulous exhibition.
Presentation of the exceptional work of Helmut Newton in Paris, until June 17, 2012
All of the artist's favourite themes are represented in the 200+ images selected by his wife of 60 years. Fashion, portraits, nudes and humour are the mainstays of his rich and exceptional work which is presented here in all its complexity, interspersed with many quotations.
The exhibition illustrates the great freedom that characterised the sometimes scandalous career of this brilliant photographer for whom celebrities such as Catherine Deneuve, Kate Moss, Grace Jones and Monica Bellucci once sat, and who was able to provide an entirely new perspective on the contemporary female figure.
